02-22-2022

You know I had to.  I love numbers almost as much as I love alliterations. And yes, I scheduled it to post at 2:22.  (but of course ;)   Besides, it has been so long since I have posted, so...  here goes...

02-22-2022.  The year is 2022- WOW!   Let's say it, we all just need a break.  We all need normal, and I refuse to believe this is the new normal.  It can't be.

How do we find a small sliver of peace and calm, true tranquility, in the midst of all this chaos?  Simplify.  Simplify.  Simplify.  There are so many things that complicate our lives - pick your poison, you each know what is your own complication.  Then we throw a pandemic on top, and don't forget the threat of war on top of that...  Calgon, take me away!

Is it that easy?  A hot bath?  Could be.  That is up to you.  When I say simplify, I mean all of it.  Your mind, your body, your soul.  Think of what your ideal day would look like.  Your perfect week, month, year.  Use your imagination.  What do you currently have, do, feel that you want to bring into your ideal future?  Some things, I am sure, but all?  Probably not.  It goes back to the Purge post.  We all need it, and more than once, hell - more than twice!  It is continual.

I need you to get quiet, really quiet.  Get clear, really clear.  Sure you say, but how?  In order to hear opportunity, you need to get quiet enough to listen.  I had a Salada tea bag tag that said something like that - I saved for years!  Quiet, inside and out.

Focus on your health first.  You have heard this before...  A healthy person has 1000 wishes, a sick person only one.  Get healthy.  Eat well, sleep well, get physical and don't forget to hydrate.  Health is your first step to clarity.  Once your health is in check, next is taking time for yourself.  Quiet time to think.  Create in your mind first, what you truly want your future to look like.  YOUR future, not what others want for you.  What do YOU want?

After health, and giving yourself quiet time, you need to be sure you check yourself for stress cracks.  Your whole body needs to remain whole.  Stress cracks, literally will tear down health, and fast.  You have to become honest with yourself where the stress is coming from.  Ever so slight, when you feel it come on, identify it, keep a journal, write it down.  Once you can identify it, is when you can begin to neutralize it.  One situation at a time.  Maybe you need a little help figuring it out, find a trusted friend to discuss, a therapist, or maybe a life coach to help.

Progress, even slight equals happiness.  I listened to a podcast this morning that reminded me of this.  Reminded me that routine will reduce the amount of stress we feel having to make too many decisions at once.  Even as simple as picking out your clothes the night before to help with your morning.  Work routine into your day to day.  This will put fuel back into your decision making gas tank.  This will give you more energy to decipher what is the future you truly need to live in order to be completely connected to your higher self.  What is the best future for you?  Remember, you design your own life, no one else.  You have the power to decide what you need in your life and what it takes to get there.  You have the power to remove distraction from your life.  Remove temptations.  Remove interruptions.  Yes, YOU have the power.

Take a little time to think about this for me.  Actually, not for me, but for you.  Because you are worth it!  Happy February folks!  <3

Be well, stay well.

Spring is in the air!

This year, more so than in years past, we all truly have thee worst case of cabin fever, ever!  The temperature is rising, the sun is feeling warmer, and we want out!

Spring is the best time for new beginnings.  A great time to start a new pattern or habit.  We have attempted this January 1st with our new year's resolutions, and then find we start to fizzle out.  In the spring, we once again feel the urge to begin again.  We feel very inspired as we watch the buds appear on the trees and the flowers begin to bloom.  We relate.  We, like the crocus, feel as though we have been buried long enough, and we are ready to sprout from under the rubble, to breakthrough!  We want to stretch and reach for the sun!  Admit it, just then, you wanted to stretch your arms to the sky.  You are already feeling larger than life!  It's in the air!

Now, the question is, what do we do with this new found energy?  How are we going to funnel the energy in order to feel inspired and create our best year ever.  We want to grow, we want to succeed and we want the feeling to last!  Are we taking the necessary steps to get there?  Are we focusing on the positive vs. the negative?  Are we coming into situations with a 'glass half full' approach?  Our thoughts matter!

A friend, in conversation, reminded me...  "the story we rehearse, we become".  It literally felt like a slap upside the head.  And for the situation I was referring to at the time, I needed that said slap!  He, and now I, say with the utmost compassion, knowing we can make excuses all day long every day; but keep this in mind-  The energy we put forth becomes our thoughts.  Our thoughts then become our words and the story we tell both ourselves as well as others, and the energy continues to become the life we lead, laying the foundation for our future.

The energy we create leads us down a given path...

Will your path be that of light?  Or that of darkness.  The choice is yours!

With love & light,
Mary-Anne
